Qualifications
• 10-years experience in operating and maintenance of steam generating plant and other utilities systems such as turbo generators, diesel engines, etc.
• have Certificate of Competency Engineer Officer Class 1
• Demonstrated competent use of CMMS in maintenance activities
• Demonstrated experience working in PSC environment.
• Demonstrated competence in HSE systems and safety awareness.
• Demonstrated competence in leading and development of national staff
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.

• Preferably with experience working with foreign companies

Started my carrier as Marine Engineer in 1975 (Inclusive of 4years marine engineering apprenticeship) and I am currently heading Offshore / Onshore oil & Gas terminals in Malaysia in KIC Oil & gas group of companies. Basically a steam Chief engineer over 25 years sailing & 5 years offshore & FPSO type Steam vessel experience.
As Chief Engineer in this company to start with on their latest VLCC Steam vessel to the level of Heading the entire ON/ Offshore projects to date. Thus having overall Twenty NINE YEARS of extensive and blended practical field and Management experience.
Pertaining to Management of operations, Maintenances and Projects Execution right from Project.
I have a good understanding and practical Knowledge of Estimations of Job Orders and Schedule Works, Interpretation of Engineering Drawings, Coordination of Projects Activities, Estimation and Evaluation of Quality of Works etc.
During my service, I have imbibed experience of routine dry docking and besides that a handsome experience of ship’s structural changes, plant erections, alterations, new buildings, commissioning & supervisions of ship and shore staff.
My experience on steam vessels since 1987 on 30 over VLCC & ULCC inclusive of world largest ever built ship “ TT Sea Giant” DWT 556000 MT.
Having earned around 30 years experience Comprising Marine Engineering apprentice (1975- 1979) + Marine back ground experiences Government Owned Shore Based Marine Engineering Dock yard (1979 – 1984), Oil exploration platform (1985- 1986) +Vast sailing experience (1986- 2001), + As M. Supervisor in FPSO Marlim Sul, Petrobras, Brasil (2003) and finally in the current OIL & Gas company from the rank Chief engineer of an Oil terminal (Afloat FFPT) to the level of heading as Fleet Manager heading entire ON/ OFF shore oil & gas projects related to all Technical Matters.(2004 to till date).
