JOB TITLE : Port Engineer (PE)
REPORT TO : Technical Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS
• Age : Min. 28 years
• Sex : Male
• Marital Status : Not specified
• Education : ATT III or S1
• GPA : 2.8 of 4.0
• English : Proficient
• Computer : Computer literate
• Others : Familiar with PMS and ISM
EXPERIENCE
• 2 years as Port Engineer/Service Engineer or 3 years as First Engineer onboard
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Review, monitor and implement vessel maintenance system according to established plan
• Ensuring that vessels engines and equipment are technically well functioning and ready for operation
• Providing support to vessel personnel in repair and maintenance
• If required, PE may act as a Chief Engineer or an Engineer onboard for period of time after going through the crew appoinment process
• If appointed by Management, act as Owner Representative (OR)
• Must be knowledgeable in proper usage of monitoring and measuring devices
• Work as team
• Travel required
REMUNERATION
• Salary negotiable depending on suitability
